Converting Audio for Upload

  1. Open your file in Audacity

  1. If your file is in stereo, we will to change to mono. Click in the audio track area then drop down Tracks and select Mix Stereo Down to Mono

  1. Change project rate to 8000 HZ

  1. Click on file scroll down to export and select Export as wave.
  2. Chose folder to save and name file
  3. Select Save as type to Other Uncompressed

  1. Change header to WAV (Microsoft) and Encoding to U-Law and click save. You can add in tag information or just click ok to save.
