Connecting to Command|VPN

  1. Open Windows Settings
  2. Select Network & Internet
  3. Select VPN
  4. Select Add a VPN Connection
  5. Fill out the form with the information provided to you:
    1. VPN Provider: Windows
    2. Connection Name: CommandVPN
    3. Server Name: provided to you, ends with commandvpn.com
    4. VPN Type: L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key
    5. Pre-shared key: provided to you
    6. Type of sign-in info: User name and password
    7. Optionally, specify your vpn user name and password: provided to you
    8. Select Save
  6. Change default setting to only send private traffic through VPN, and not use vpn for all traffic (split-tunnel)
    1. Select Change adapter options
    2. Right click on CommandVPN, select Properties
    3. Select the Networking tab, highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (do not uncheck it), and then select the Properties button
    4. Select Advanced
    5. Uncheck Use default gateway on remote network, Click OK on all three windows
  7. Select Connect on CommandVPN

You are now connected!
